Waimea Canyon

Dubbed the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, Waimea Canyon is simply breathtaking. Being one of the wettest places on earth, erosion has had little trouble carving out a 3,600ft canyon through the mountains that make up the west side of Kauai. The islands diverse and colorful geological history is revealed in spectacular fashion. Reds, browns and oranges are complimented by the lush green vegetation that thrives in this tropical climate.
