Pillar Point Harbor
I've walked past these abandoned harbor buildings at Pillar Point a number of times and I've always struggled to know how best to capture their essence in a compelling and artistic way. The background is normally very distracting and given the pier's location, it doesn't get very good sunrises or sunsets. Thanks to this early morning fog, however, I was able to isolate the pier from these distractions and achieve an atmosphere that, in my opinion, fits the eerie nature of this forgotten landmark.
