Take a close look and see if you can see anything a little unique about this photo. Last time I checked, stars didn't pass in front of the moon. If you look just below the center of the moon you'll see a sparkling white satellite crossing it's path! As far as I can tell through a little research, this is 91W Galaxy 17 (G17), a communications satellite in geostationary orbit serving North America. This is an extreme crop from the longest focal length I could manage with the equipment I had (240mm).
