Great Horned Owl

Wow, what an awesome sighting this was, a Great Horned Owl right in the middle of the Bay Area! This predator is simply a beast. Talons that can grip with the force of a Golden Eagle, highly adapted eyes and ears for hunting after dark and almost silent flight pattern make me very glad I'm not a rabbit! Oh, and he almost perfectly blends in with his habitat.
